NJ-SPJ honors Excellence in Journalism Award winners; holds panel discussion of state house media coverage

The New Jersey Society of Professional Journalists honored winners of its Excellence in Journalism Awards at a reception May 17 at the New Jersey Historical Society in Newark. Attendees also had the opportunity to take a guided tour of the Historical Society, and participate in a panel discussion of “Pro Tips for Covering the State House,” featuring journalists and lawmakers who spend much of their time in Trenton.

Panelists were:

  • Brent Johnson, NJ.com and The Star-Ledger
  • Sue Livio, NJ.com and The Star-Ledger
  • Senator Raj Mukherji (D-Hoboken and Jersey City)
