Intensive In-Person Skills Training Day / Saturday, November 14th 2026
Where: The N.J. Historical Society, 52 Park Place, Newark, NJ 07102. This is a five-minute walk from Newark Penn Station, which has NJ Transit trains and buses, PATH and Amtrak. Many nearby parking lots are available, as this is near both the Prudential Center and NJPAC.
When: Saturday, November 14th / 9:00 AM Coffee, Donuts and Conversation / 10 AM Workshops begin. / Lunch will be provided midday. / 4 PM–
5:30 PM: Cocktails and refreshments at the Medallion Restaurant (Robert Treat Hotel), cash bar.
Cost: $20 for non-members of NJ-SPJ, including food. / $15 for members of NJ-SPJ, the Deadline Club, National Writers Union, the New Jersey Press Association, or the New York Press Photographers Association / $10 for students / If you volunteer to work the event, you get in free, and you will be able to attend most of the workshops. / Inquire about volunteering or if you need a multi-person newsroom rate, at info@njspj.org
